Every one of these entries are my creations, I am placing the whole bunch under the Free Software Foundation's General Public License. Some of the old DOS stuff may not reflect this change, sorry for the omition, but I am lazy. I said it here as of 12 3 1999 Jim Phillips Linux/ asdf_GPL_003.zip Audio compression loosely based on Fibonacci numbers is extremely kind to CPU resources, will record and play back 25 k sample stereo in real time on as little as a 40 mhz i386 machine running Linux asdf-0.4.tgz Same as above, but better, it's version four. asdf-0.4.sum Md5Sum of the above Tar Ball PIC/ Pictrm.zip This is a hardware project with a schematic diagram and a DOS program/w source, that when completed will blast PIC16C84 microprocessors by Microchip xrd_gpl.zip This is a program written for the PIC16C84 that directly reads the X10 120 khz signal appropriately filtered and a zero cross signal you derive from your power line. It designates house codes on a first seen first ordered basis, there after it draws a bar graph display of all of the lights/appliances current power level, the taller the bar, the brighter the lamp. DOS/ rcmp.c Recursive Compare, crawls through directories the way rcmp.exe xcopy x: y: /s /v /e does comparing files of all directories below that point. comix-11.zip This is one of those, "not so useful, as interesting" kinds of programs, it does the seemingly impossible. It converts an executable dot com file into a 7 bit ASCII file, that when executed in DOS still runs. eggtimer.c Using OEM text graphics pauses for a time you specify eggtimer.exe waiting for a key press, whilest spinning a count down wheel reminiscent of 16mm film leaders evu.c evu.exe Allows editing of Environment Variables of parent fdr.c Works like Whereis or Findfile, but uses the file's date/time stamp as search criteria hxtrm.zip Originally developed to enable me to program 86HC805B6 micro processors, but has many other uses. Essentially this program will let you fiddle with the bits that get sent through your serial port. inputsrc.zip This is yet another variation on the wait for a key type of program, this ones twist is that it writes back into the parent processes Environment Variables kntstour.c Yet another Knights Tour, but if you have the MIX C compiler, and C Trace Debugger you can watch the gears of the Knights Tour machinery turn. lcd.asm This is a parallel port driver TSR for those ubiquitous lcd.bat 24 x 2 line Smart LCD displays. Once installed if you lcd.txt press Ctrl P there after everything that goes to lcd1.com the console screen, also goes to the LCD display lcd2.com lcd3.com lcdbbs.txt colarows.bas This is an exerciser program for the above. serkbd.asm This allows you to hook up eight push button switches serkbd.com to an available serial port's handshake lines, and the sk.bat push buttons act like selectable keys of the keyboard. x10.asm This program works marginally well, it uses the serial x10.com port to generate X10 signal timing, I have activated and deactivated X10 devices with it, but it misses as often as it hits. It is however useful as a tutorial on how to send X10 signals. Note to use it you need to build a 120 khz oscillator, that can be gated on and off by the serial ports TX line.
